Paris attractions and which pass covers them

Not every pass includes every highlight. Here you can see, attraction by attraction, which pass gets you in.

The big highlights and their passes

Paris has more sights than any single trip can fit in. What matters for choosing a pass is which of your must-sees it includes. Here are the key attractions and where they fit.

The Mona Lisa at the Louvre. Even with a pass, you'll need a time slot booked in advance.
The Mona Lisa at the Louvre. Even with a pass, you'll need a time slot booked in advance.

Louvre

The world's largest art museum. Included in the Museum Pass, City Pass and The Paris Pass Plus. Optional in the Explorer Pass as an afternoon entry. For all of them: book your time slot in advance.

Eiffel Tower

The classic, but not included everywhere. Access to the 2nd floor is fixed in the City Pass (as a guided visit with lift access) and The Paris Pass Plus, and optional in the Explorer Pass and Flex Pass. The Museum Pass doesn't include it.

Palace of Versailles

A grand palace and gardens just outside the city. Included in the Museum Pass, City Pass and The Paris Pass Plus. Optional in the Explorer Pass as a day ticket with audio guide.

Musée d'Orsay

Impressionism from Monet to Van Gogh. Included in the Museum Pass and The Paris Pass Plus. The City Pass doesn't cover it: it doesn't come with a full Museum Pass.

Arc de Triomphe & Sainte-Chapelle

A viewing platform and a Gothic glass chapel, both state-run and included in the Museum Pass, as well as via the City Pass and The Paris Pass Plus.

Seine river cruise & hop-on hop-off bus

Not a museum, but a fixture of many passes: the City Pass and The Paris Pass Plus include the bus and the cruise. With the Explorer Pass and Flex Pass, they count as part of your selection.

When a pass pays off

As a rule of thumb, a pass is worth it once you're visiting three or more paid attractions per day. For museums, the Museum Pass pays off fastest; for a mixed sightseeing itinerary, the bundles from Turbopass and Go City do. Run through your wish list once, and you'll find today's prices under Prices.

Questions about the attractions

Which attraction isn't covered by any pass? +

Some special exhibitions and private museums aren't included in any pass. Public transport is missing everywhere too. Check your wish list against the relevant provider's list before you buy.

Do I still need to make reservations with a pass? +

Yes, for the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Versailles. The pass replaces the ticket, not the time slot. Book the free reservation early, or popular slots will be gone.
